What counts as an ankle sock?

The height is the whole definition. An ankle sock finishes at or just above the ankle bone, so it clears a low shoe without disappearing into it the way a no-show does, and it sits well below the calf where a crew sock ends. Everything else about the sock is shared with the rest of the Core range.

The fabric

Made with 75% organic cotton, with 19% recycled polyamide, and polyamide and elastane making up the rest so the sock stretches over the heel and returns. The figure is the same on the 2-pack and the 3-pack — a pack is a quantity rather than a different sock. Our materials page explains how we choose the cotton.

Colors and sizes

Three colors: Black, Grey and Hazelnut. Three sizes, by shoe size rather than by letter: 35-38, 39-42 and 43-46, so each size covers a span rather than one number.
