Shipping

We are taking all necessary safety precautions to protect our community — and our distribution center is operating as normal so you should not see any delays in shipment. If you have any questions please write to us by email or live chat.

All orders are sent within 1-2 working days from our warehouse in Denmark. EU orders will be delivered within 2-5 days, international orders take between 5 and 18 days depending on your chosen delivery method. Learn more about our return policy here.

  • What's the status of my order?

    We process all orders within 2 working days after the order was placed. You’ll receive a shipping confirmation as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. Please note that it can take up to 24 hours after that for your tracking link to update. If you did not receive a shipping confirmation or you have questions about your order, you can always reach out via the live chat or at hello@organicbasics.com, and we’ll be happy to help!

    If you are returning from outside the EU, please clearly label your package as “RETURNED GOODS”. This is very important as failing to do so will result in being charged local customs, which you will have to pay—and we don’t want that.

    What size am I?

    We know online shopping can be tricky for fit and sizing. We have done our absolute best to create a size guide that should help you find the right size – you can find the size-chart on all of our product pages. If you still have questions regarding size, do not hesitate to contact us at sizing@organicbasics.com and we will help you out.

    Can I change or update my order?

    What's your return policy?

    You can return products for an exchange (store credit) or ask for a refund within 365 day of purchase. Return shipping is free for exchanges (store credit). For refunds we charge a return shipping fee to our warehouse in Denmark, which will be deducted from your refund amount.

    Please make sure all returned products are unworn, unwashed, and neatly folded in the original packaging including all tags. We send all our basics in a shipping box made from FSC certified cardboard which you can re-use to ship your return package.

    No, we only process orders from Monday to Friday.

    Where does Organic Basics ship from?

    All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Denmark.

    I think my package is lost.

    If you have any issues with your order once it’s left our warehouse, please contact your chosen courier, as they are the best at locating your package. For international shipping, please note that shipping can take up to 3 weeks to certain countries. If you’re in doubt, just send us a message at hello@organicbasics.com and we’ll be happy to help you track down your parcel.

    Can I refuse a package upon delivery?

    If you do not wish to receive your package for whatever reason, you can refuse it and it will be automatically returned to us. Once we have received the package back at our warehouse, we will refund you for your order.

    Where do you ship to?

    We ship worldwide. If you’re in doubt, send us an email to hello@organicbasics.com or catch us on our live chat.

    How long does it take for my order to arrive?

    You can choose your shipping method at the checkout, which will give you an estimate for delivery days. When “Free Shipping” is available on your order, it will arrive within 2-4 business days for the EU and 10-14 business days outside of the EU.

    Do you deliver to P.O Boxes?

    Yes, we do. For P.O. boxes in the United States, please choose Packet Tracked as the shipping method.

    Does OB offset shipping emissions?

    We do! We’ve partnered up with CHOOOSE, so for every order placed we offset one hundred kilos of CO2—which is more than the CO2 emissions of production and shipping combined. And this actually makes us climate positive!

    Do you ship to the Canary Islands?

    Yes, we do. Please choose Express shipping at checkout.

    Will I be charged duties and taxes?

    Within the European Union no duties or taxes will apply. For international shipments outside the European Union, there may be duties and taxes incurred on your shipment that you will be responsible for. Please note that Organic Basics does not have any control over these fees and cannot advise as to what the costs will be, as they vary from country to country. For more information, please contact your local customs office.

    Do you deliver to DHL Packstations in Germany or Pakkeshops in Denmark?

    Yes, we do. Please put in your personal, physical address as the shipping address and choose a close Packstation/pakkeshop from the list in the Shipping Method section at the checkout. Please note that we cannot accommodate orders addressed to a personal Packstation number. The Packstation must be chosen from the list at checkout.

    Is there anywhere I can try on your products?

    Send us a mail at sizing@organicbasics.com and our team will be happy to help you find a place for you to try our products. If there are no options near you, we’ll do our best to help you find the right fit.

    Can I exchange or return my order if it doesn't fit?

    Yes, you absolutely can. But please bear in mind that shipping goods back and forth generates unnecessary greenhouse gases that are accelerating climate change. We encourage you to choose your items carefully to avoid unnecessary return shipments.

    I live in Copenhagen. Can I drop off my return in person?

    If you’d like to meet the team and drop off your return, we’re in the office from 9.00-17.00, Monday-Friday. Unfortunately we cannot offer exchanges on site, but we are happy to share a coffee with you.

    Can I try on my products?

    We understand that you have to try on your basics to know if they fit, but please keep in mind that if there are remnants of makeup, deodorant, and/or perfume on them, we cannot accept the return. We also ask that when trying on our underwear, you have another pair underneath.

    Can I return something that was bought as part of a pack?

    Yes, absolutely! No need to return the entire pack, just send back what did not fit and exchange it for a store credit or refund.

    Are returns free?

    We offer free return shipping for exchanges. If you are returning your products for a refund, we will deduct the cost of return shipping from your refund. After registering your return, we will email you a return shipping label within 1-2 business days.

    How long does it take for a return or exchange to be processed?

    Our return center is located in Denmark and we process exchanges and returns on a daily basis. Depending on where you sent your return package from, it can take up to 14 days for it to reach us, and an additional couple of working days for your parcel to be processed. If you haven’t heard from us, then we either haven't received or processed your return yet. If in doubt, you can always send us an email to returns@organicbasics.com and we’ll have a look at what’s going on.

    When can I expect my refund?

    Please allow 2-3 working days after we have received your package for your return to be processed, and up to 30 days for your bank to transfer the refund to your account. We will send you an email as soon as your return has been processed and the refund is on its way.

    What do I do if my product is damaged?

    The durability of our products is something our customers love the most, but mistakes can happen during production. If your product is faulty, please contact hello@organicbasics.com and attach a picture of the faulty product.

    Can I exchange something for a different product?

    If you’ve changed your mind and want to exchange what you bought for a different product, ask for a store credit when registering your return and send your original purchase back to us. When we receive your order, we will issue you a store credit and send a free shipping code so you can place a new order for the product you would like to have instead.

    How do I exchange a gift?

    Just register your return through the original order number and email address, send back what you don’t want to keep and we will issue a new gift card, so you can pick out a different size or style. Please note that the return label and refund (if applicable) will be sent to the original email and payment method used for the purchase.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

    We accept debit and credit cards including VISA/Dankort, Visa, MasterCard, and for some countries Klarna and Paypal.

    I have a gift card and a discount code, how do I use them?

    What’s the difference between organic cotton and TENCEL™?

    Organic cotton is a natural fiber that we source from Turkey. It’s grown without the use of harmful chemicals. TENCEL™ is an eco-friendly cellulose fibre made from responsibly sourced wood pulp. It is also produced without the use of toxic chemicals. TENCEL™ takes up to 90% less water to make when compared to cotton and it also feels softer on your skin.

    What’s SilverTech™?

    Two-thirds of the environmental effect of clothing is created by washing and drying. SilverTech™ is a permanent silver coated thread that keeps our basics fresher for longer by naturally prevented odor causing bacteria from growing on the fabric. SilverTech™ Active is a safe, permanent, bluesign® approved recycled silver salt called Polygiene® which prevents the growth of odor causing bacteria on the fabric. This helps you do more and wash less - which is better for you and the planet.

    Neither SilverTech™ or SilverTech™ Active use nano-silvers, and both only ever operate on the fabric.

    How should I wash my basics?

    We recommend washing all your basics on low temperature using a gentle detergent. It’s better for the environment and better for your basics. Also, our SilverTech™ collections allow you to do more and wash less - saving you time, energy and water.

    What’s the difference between SilverTech™ & SilverTech™ Active?

    SilverTech™ is made in organic cotton and a permanent silver coated polymer thread which means that they are great for everyday wear. Whereas SilverTech™ Active is made in recycled nylon and treated with a safe, permanent, bluesign® approved recycled silver salt called Polygiene®. SilverTech™ Active is best suited for active lifestyles and working out.

    Do you have a warranty cover?

    We sure do! If one of our products is faulty at the time you receive it or if it tears after use, please email us at hello@organicbasics.com and include a picture of the faulty product. We will be happy to repair or replace it.

  • What is the Impact Index?

    The Impact Index is a tool for measuring the environmental footprint of our products compared to traditional industry practices. Our measures include water, energy, waste, chemical usage and CO2 footprint. On our product pages, we report the environmental savings from choosing organic, low impact and recycled materials as well as responsible suppliers. We use this tool to measure our impact and improve our supply chain. You can find out more and download our report here.

    What materials do you use?

    We handpick every single fabric based on its environmental footprint and lifetime durability. We only ever use Class A and B fibers and as we go we’ll only ever look for the most responsible fabric material and technology available. That means natural, renewable, recycled, biodegradable and or low-impact textiles only.

    We use GOTS certified organic cotton, Italian GRS certified recycled nylon made from pre-consumer textile waste, TENCEL™ Lyocell sourced from central European forests that are turned to fabric in Austria, and Italian recycled wool.

    Are your products vegan-friendly?

    Yes, all our products are PETA Approved vegan friendly - except for the SilverTech™ Active socks and cashmere garment - which are made of recycled wool.

    What is CHOOOSE?

    We’ve partnered up with CHOOOSE, an organisation that makes businesses and individuals carbon balanced by investing in UN verified or Gold Standard CO2 reducing projects in developing countries - like solar power in India and wind power in Turkey.     What certifications do you have?

    We only work with certified organic, recycled and low-impact materials.

    Our organic cotton collection is made in GOTS-certified organic cotton. This is an independent certificate for our entire supply chain that includes both ecological and social criteria.

    For our SilverTech™ Active and Invisible collection, we only use GRS-certified recycled Nylon. This is a third party certification that ensures the recycled content of our materials and ensures the process is free of harmful chemicals.

    The SilverTech™ Active collection is made with a bluesign® approved Polygiene® treatment. This is a third party certificate that makes sure that the treatment is responsibly manufactured and has the lowest possible effect on the environment and people.

    Our SilverTech™ Everyday and Soft Touch collections are certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. This ensures that every single component and ingredient of our products (e.g. sewing thread, textile, and prints) have been thoroughly tested and include no harmful substances.

    Isn’t silver dangerous?

    We use Polygiene® which is a safe, bluesign® approved permanent fabric treatment that is manufactured in the EU. This independent certification ensures that the fabric treatment is free from harmful substances for people and planet.

    The treatment is based on silver chloride made from 100% recycled silver sourced from electronic waste. Silver chloride is a salt that consists of silver and chloride. Silver chloride is found naturally in the soil and ocean. The big advantage is that silver chloride is not water-soluble, thus it can’t be easily washed out of clothing. If particles with silver salt are released during washing, they quickly combine with sulfides found in wastewater. This creates an insoluble silver sulfide that is essentially harmless to all organisms.

    From a product life cycle perspective, the Polygiene® treatment gives our products numerous environmental advantages. It keeps the fabric fresher for longer and inhibits the growth of odor causing bacteria — so you can do more and wash less. It has been estimated that 2/3 of the environmental impact comes from the use phase, including washing. By enabling you to wash less, you save time, energy and water. Also, the treatment lasts the lifetime of the products and thus prolongs their useful life.

    We do realize it is a chemical treatment and have started looking into natural alternatives.

    How are your products produced?

    We only work with trusted, certified European factory partners - these are the good guys. They have the same sustainable vision as us and follow it through by continuously reducing their environmental footprint. These factories also ensure that their workplace is free of child labor and forced labor, their workers are surrounded in a safe working space, paid a living wage, offered employee perks like free lunch and childcare and of course, they are treated with respect at all times. We currently produce in Turkey and Portugal.

    What does it mean to be a BCorp?

    This is a private certification for our entire company that is issued by B Lab, a global nonprofit organization, and it certifies that we are balancing profit and purpose i.e. we are meeting the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
